In 1926, Shintaro Uda from Japan invented the Yagi antenna. These antennas had high gains and are used nowadays for high-frequency bands due to their high gain.
In 1938 Wilmer Barrow invented the first modern Horn antenna which, also had high gains and was used for different purposes. In 1952 the first television antenna in an H shape was placed on a house roof in the United Kingdom. This was the first television antenna. This antenna was connected to large television sets which, let the user watch movies using wireless transmission. Then in 1960 satellite dish or dish antenna was introduced. Since then, antenna technology has continued to develop. In 1970 microstrip antenna was introduced which, was made with the only circuit board.
